Chromium OS for Raspberry Pi 3B/B+
In this release:
- Updated Chromium OS manifest to
release-R72-11316.B
branch and Chromium to72.0.3626.54
- Updated Kernel to 4.14.93
- Added optional SD card expansion script, courtesy of FydeOS
- Added missing firmware from latest official Raspbian release
- Fixed earlier build error caused by OpenSSL
- Fixed sound issue by setting default audio output to headphone jack rather than "auto-detect"
- Default credentials:
chronos

Known issues
- On initial boot there is a brief period of unresponsiveness where the system is awaiting for HDMI input signal
- This release is of a
test
build, which is by design very insecure (for any production environment), as quoted from Viper: "You must never log in to them with credentials you care about. It will automatically start ssh with root access via well known credentials."

Chromium OS for Raspberry Pi 3B/B+
In this release:
- The overlays are now updated to build Chromium OS r70
- Fix poor graphic performance with full hardware accelecration enabled.
- Add firmware support for Raspberry Pi 3B+. Note that although kernel patches for
brcm
are in place, there are still issues with wifi with this release. Help needed! - You can build packages with "cros_embedded" (or uncomment the USE flags in
overlay-rpi3/make.conf
) to produce a more efficient image. - The image is a TEST image, with default shell access credentials:
