A user reported an issue with sending or minting NFTs using Ledger Nano S. To send or mint NFTs, the user has to use Ledger Live or send them to another wallet, bypassing the MetaMask wallet due to this issue.
When I want to send an NFT to another wallet, I do it directly from Ledger Live without using metamask. When I want to sell an NFT, I send the NFT from Ledger Live to another wallet and sell it.
User’s environment details:
MetaMask Version 12.18.2
Ledger Nano S firmware version:
Ethereum version 1.16.0
Ledger Nano S OS Version 2.1.0

After some investgation, issue can be reproduced with a Nano S on test-dapp. After deploying and minting successfully a ERC721 (please enable blind signing first), we are facing a Ledger: Unknown error while signing transaction error. This error comes from an EthAppNftNotSupported error coming from an INS_NOT_SUPPORTED error here https://github.com/LedgerHQ/ledger-live/blob/develop/libs/ledgerjs/packages/hw-app-eth/src/Eth.ts#L1225-L1228

This issue is specific to Ledger Nano S and may be an issue in the Ledger codebase. We have tested other Ledger devices and confirmed they do not have this issue. The user can also work around the issue by using Ledger Live.
