Hello React Team,

As a small member of the Persian-speaking developer community, I am creating this issue regarding the fa.react.dev repository.

This repository appears to have been inactive for a long time, and the current maintainers are no longer actively managing it.

Given the importance of having official React documentation available in Persian, I kindly request that the Maintainer of this repository be transferred either to me or to another active contributor approved by the React team.

The goal is to help grow the React community among Persian-speaking developers and to improve access to accurate and up-to-date resources.

I am confident that the professional React team will carefully consider this request and continue to show the same respect and support for various language communities as it always has.

Thank you for your attention.

Best regards,
Mohammad rza badri

Hi React team 👋,

We’re part of the Persian-speaking developer community and would like to propose reviving and maintaining a Persian-language React.js community. React is widely used in our region, and we believe a renewed community effort would be valuable.

We’re ready to help with:

  • Updating/maintaining Persian translations of React docs
  • Supporting Persian-speaking devs via local platforms

We’d appreciate any guidance or support from the React team to get this going.

Thanks for your time and amazing work!

Dear React Team,

The availability of official React documentation in Persian is crucial for our community. Therefore, I would like to propose that the management of this repository be handed over to another dedicated contributor approved by your team. This transition would significantly enhance the resources available to Persian-speaking developers and support the expansion of our community.
I am confident that the React team will consider this request with the same dedication and respect you have shown towards diverse language communities.

Thank you for your consideration

Hi React team,

The Persian translation of the React docs has been inactive for a long time, and contributors can't make updates.

We’d really appreciate it if you could help reopen contributions so the community can revive it.

Thanks a lot! @sebmarkbage @poteto @rickhanlonii

Hi all, more comments are not helpful at this point. We’ll have to lock the issue if this continues. As you can see it’s already being looked at so please just wait for an update.

Hey all, thanks for flagging!

The best way to become a maintainer of any open source project is to just start contributing to it! Once you have an established pattern of making quality contributions, the maintainers of the project will invite you to become a maintainer.

In this case, you can start submitting pull requests to translate the Persian docs in fa.react.dev. If the current maintainers there are not active, the React team will review the PRs, merge them, and offer to make you a maintainer.

So please feel free to start contributing PRs, and we'll work with the current maintainer to get them merged and/or add additional maintainers.

I've manually updated the repo with the current react.dev site so everything is current reactjs/fa.react.dev#465.

I also replied here pinging the current maintainers, let's continue in this issue: reactjs/fa.react.dev#464
