Love this! I have struggled with imposter syndrome for a long time, and I really appreciate this post. 🧡
Love this post! When I see a question about my Rust experience on a survey/application, I always second guess whether I should put "Expert" there. I know people that know way more about Rust than I do, so am I really an expert? I have to bring myself to claim "Expert" level experience anyway by telling myself that this might be warranted as one of Clippy's team leads. I still have to convince myself about this every time, though. You can use this for the blog post if you want. But I don't want the blog post to get too cluttered. |
Thank you @yaahc for writing this excellent post. As someone who has generally felt in a state of perpetual imposter syndrome as it pertains to my career, it really spoke to me. |

This blog post is a response to some feedback the project directors received from foundation staff around people's hesitancy to apply for rust foundation grants. It is an attempt at reassuring current and potential contributors that they are welcome in the project and shouldn't feel undeserving of opportunities to join and contribute.
