VS Code seems to be the most popular editor these days, and it requires a parameter --goto for opening files.

I spent a few trials and one web search before I found this out and thought that may be useful for others.

Thank you! I am not very comfortable with adding specific instructions for Mac without mentioning the other OSes. So I trimmed down. If you have a page that mentions all OSes, that would be welcome too!

Sure, understand that!

I thought this step is only necessary on MacOS, but that may not be true. According to VS Code docs, this command is automatically present after installation on Windows, and they only provide this instruction for MacOS. Maybe they ignore Linux? I will try to find out consulting somebody (although no VS Code + Linux user currently comes to my mind). Or maybe a Linux user sees this message and could confirm / deny?
