Could it be clearer if the internal methods are named as |

@yuntai yea, possibly. I wanted to get these things merged quickly so they didn't get stale, but refactoring it to be internal_handle_xxx or handle_xxx_errchecked or whatever is more descriptive would be fine too. That also wouldn't be so conflict-heavy. |
