LDK Releases

  • This came out, fixes some specific issues and a minor security issue
• 0.2 (https://github.com/lightningdevkit/rust-lightning/milestone/17)
  • Making progress, still a little ways off waiting on a major feature to ship

LDK Node Release

• 0.6 (https://github.com/lightningdevkit/ldk-node/milestone/6)
  • Released 0.6 today
  • Shorter release cycle with upgrades to dependencies
• 0.7 milestone next

Language bindings

• LDK 0.1.4 still needs language bindings, matt should get to that this week
• 0.1.4 went out right before the vegas conference which caused delays

Feature progress

• Attributable failures
  • There was a delving thread recently on the privacy aspect of hold times, feel free to weigh in
• Async payments
  • Static invoice server making good progress, hopefully will land over this week and next
  • Trampoline, timeline not sure but worst case will be done after static invoice server
• Dual funding
  • Bugs should be fixed regarding v2 opens without contributing
  • Should ship in 0.2 as an optional feature, but it doesn’t accomplish much til both sides can add inputs
• Splicing
  • jeff/wilmer not here, but work continues on this front
  • onchain/offchain parts are progressing in parallel
  • Hopefully we get splicing this quarter
