The change itself looks good to me, but we shouldn't use a carry commit here. This should essentially be a rebase on top of the upstream changes similar to how it is done for the OLMv1 repos - example of catalogd: openshift/operator-framework-catalogd#38

Some of the info about having a spreadsheet I don't think is necessary but this process should in general be pretty accurate as to what needs to be done.
