Repeat of #1895 so that hopefully travis will build it.

Ruby concatenates strings that are next to each
other, though, so it’s a blank string concatenated
with a longer multi-line string concatenated with
another blank string.

Care to review this, @JonRowe? It's slightly different from #1895 due to the introduction of example ids.
