I've made a number of small gramatical fixes changes for correctness/consistency, mainly regarding periods and colons. I updated some of the text and code where the language has since changed (e.g. the new array syntax, replacing int with i32). In particular, the use of int is quite widespread in the reference, so I avoided making any more changes as it might be more suitable for a separate PR, or get sorted as the reference is revised closer to the 1.0.0 final release.
