Given AD isn't an official Swift feature yet, we shouldn't need to pull bug fixes onto the release branch (even low risk ones) unless they're impacting use cases that don't use the feature. |

Cherry-pick #35236 onto 5.4. This is to fix regression SR-13945 that broke all differentiable methods using loops.
