When running distributed tests, the shared volume does not support all of the necessary operations, and writing anywhere else is poor form.
Hardlinking across distinct disks doesn't work, so copy as a fallback.
Otherwise, unless you happen to have FileCheck in your PATH, when you copy/paste a test invocation to reproduce it, it fails.
