The example creates a websockets API gateway.

An EventBridge scheduled event is created that pings all connected clients each minute.

websocat or similar can be used to connect to the API GW and it will receive the pings each minute. Any messages sent by the client will be sent to any other connected clients (try connecting with websocat in a separate terminal).
